A Life OF LOVE, STRENGTH, JOY, and KINDNESS

Sometimes life can be hard and tough to understand and one of those moments came recently with one of the kindest souls we’ve been blessed to know. Jennelyn was a kind and nurturing person in all aspects of her life and some of her brightest times were within her career as a dedicated nurse at Sharp Healthcare, where she found great joy in caring for her patients. Sadly, she completed her battle with cancer on August 9th, 2024, fighting bravely until the end and in the warm embrace of her closest loved ones.

Jennelyn Macahilas affectionately known as Jen was a joy to be around and brought light and positivity to others even in the darkest of times. Despite the multitudes of challenges and injustices she’s faced in her own life, Jen always chose to see the good and instead being bitter she would choose love and poured her heart, support, and kindness to those around her. She met the love of her life, Ray Macahilas, in the year 2000 and they’ve shared 24 wonderful years together with 13 of those years being married in a storybook love that most would only dream of. She lived courageously and her kind yet strong spirit will continue to live and inspire within Ray, her parents, her brother, her extended family and in the hearts of all those fortunate to have met and be loved be her. We love you Jen!
